May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him,
so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Starting the Climb

The climb starts at 8:30 AM on Monday, Sept. 15. I will be at the office of Dr. Szumorski - Valley Medical Oncology Consultants starting chemo. My primary cancer doctor is Sunil Reddy at Stanford Hospital, but I will be able take the chemo here in Pleasanton. For this first chemo, Mark, my husband, Erika, my daughter-in-law, who is a nurse, and Cathy Farrar my sherpa will be with me. All of you can be with me by praying for each drop of chemo to hit a cancer cell. In later chemo's I will be able to have a flow of visitors - and will need them, because the chemo lasts for 6 whole hours.

Well, come along for the climb!

Hebrews 4:12-16 reminds me that the Lord your God KNOWS your joints, your marrow, and your cells to the T. He is the great high priest who is able to sympathise with you (and us) as you (we) go through this time of need... Love you and praying for those drops of chemo that will be entering your body tomorrow morning!!!

Carol,
I'm Judy's brother, Jerry. We met quite briefly a few years back when I cam to CA to visit her. I know that she just visited you and that she holds you in very high regard. My very best personal wishes from yet one more of the Persall children!

'Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth; Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide. Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, blessings all mine with ten thousand beside!'...just some of the words in that wonderful hymn 'Great is Thy Faithfulness'. May our Abba's dear presence be your everything as you take handholds and footholds. I'm honored to partake in your journey to high places. Going up...!
Love to you,
Cindy

Dear Carol,
May the breadth, length, heights and depths of His faithful and true love be yours in His fullest measure. I commit you to Him who is able to do abundantly beyond what any could ask or think.
Much love in Him,
Karen

Hi Carol, It is so hard for me to imagine you without energy and to be honest, I really do not want to imagine you that way. All my mind will allow me to see is the vibrant, cheerful Carol I always knew and with God's help that is where you will be again in a very short time. Hang in there.
I sent you pictures of my new found daughter last week but did not receive a response. When you are able, let me know if you got to see them. Love you lots, Alice Johnson
