May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him,
so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

At Valley Care

Please keep Carol in your prayers. Today, Friday, Carol has had a fever and chills, so this evening she was admitted to Valley Care Medical Center. Both her white cell count and her platelet count are very low. She has received one unit of platelets and is already looking and feeling better.

Erika (her daughter-in-law) is staying with her for the night so she is in good hands.

Pray specifically that:
white cell count and platelet count improve quickly
fever goes down
comfortable and able to sleep (Erika too)
able to come home tomorrow

Thank you for your faithful prayers.

"Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits-
who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases" Psalm 103:2-3.

Carol, you are in our prayers. Lifting you up for strength and healing poured out from our Father, the Great Physician. That your body fights back in every way it needs to... You are a blessing and the Lord is using you in each step of this journey, even if we don't see His purpose today.

Carol,
You are in my prayers. I pray for strength and healing for you and that you will be able to come home soon. I miss our times together and pray we can get together again soon. You are such a blessing to me.

Hi my dear Carol!

I'm missing you soooo much while I'm away...you are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. Sounds like this go-round has been rougher than some of the others. I know that you know God's strength is sufficient for you...praying that you will be aware of His strength down in and to the very core of your being. I was praying in 1st Peter 1 for you just now (verses 3-9 or so)...in the Message below, but whoever is reading this to you I would love it if they would pull out the NASB and the NIV and read those versions to you also. I know how the Word of God so ministers to your spirit and soul when you are feeling weak and tired and overwhelmed...so here is 1 Peter 3-9:

3-5 What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we've been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven—and the future starts now! God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The Day is coming when you'll have it all—life healed and whole.

6-7 I know how great this makes you feel, even though you have to put up with every kind of aggravation in the meantime. Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it's your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory.

8-9 You never saw him, yet you love him. You still don't see him, yet you trust him—with laughter and singing. Because you kept on believing, you'll get what you're looking forward to: total salvation.

...I'm singing with you Carol...about the joy to come and the joy we have right now in Jesus! I love you!

Hey, maybe someone who is going over to visit with Carol could print out the comments from her blog and take them over to read to her...yes?
