Hey All,
This is a special urgent prayer request in case you are checking the blog Friday, 10/10, between the hours of 12:30 pm and 4:30 pm. Carol is retaining excess fluid...this is a side affect of the IL2 treatment. This excess fluid can put stress on her heart and lungs. They have just put her on Lasix...the prayer request is that the Lasix will work to expel the excess fluid from her body in the next four hours (by 4:30 pm, today, Friday, 10/10) and that Carol's heart and lungs would be protected. There is another protocol they can go to if the Lasix is not sufficient...I'll update the blog as needed...THANK YOU!

Lifting you up in prayer - that the Lasix is already working and that there will be no problem from the water retention you did have. 1-1/2 hours to go.... may there be no need for further intervention!

God has chosen you as one of His choice followers to display Himself through you in the midst of this incredible trial and uncertain journey. Our anchor is in the reality that a loving, sovereign God orchestrates all the events of our lives for our good and His glory. It is hard looking from here to see good in such struggles--I am continuing to pray that God's grace will overwhelm you, that he will give you supernatural strength and that both of these will spill out to others around you. Hi Carol,
Have been praying for you continuously. I just came home from the Women of Faith conference up here in Portland. Your granddaughter, Emily, was there also! Talked to your Greg during a break so I could get an update on how you were.
The conference was encouraging and I couldn't help but think of you often. They talked about who I held dear to me as a mentor,and well, you know you have always been that dear one to me :-)

Dear Carol-- We missed you very much at the Women's Retreat, but as you know, you and Mark were very much in our prayers and thoughts. On Saturday Oct. 11 at about 5pm Marla, Luanne Henderson and I just felt you needed exta prayers at that time. We also prayed as a group Saturday night for the lasix to work and allow you to come home. The Holy Spirit really was moving among us Sat. night. No visible tongues of fire, but WOW....We love you.
